EWS 37427 visits London on charter duties, tailing 59202, and seen at Clapham Junction. A EWS 66 have brought the tour south from Crewe with the 37 tailing the train. The 59 and 37 then covering various routes in London. At the time 37/4's were rare visitors this far south.

Also of note are the first refurbished SWT 455's, four were done and released into use. 455 5904 and 455 5733 feature.

Livery differences did appear. Both 455 5904 and 455 5711 both had black window surrounds and a big yellow curve. 455 5733 and seven other units had blue window surrounds and a quater yellow wrap round yellow curve. So apart from what were two and eight units in this guise, all the following units are, as now, different, with the yellow curve barely wrapped round the side of the loco. All the ten units including the above lost their unique versions to carry the now class wide SWT variation.
