The first of a three day saga would be Carlisle, and with a right mix of weather, the trip was sill worth it, highlights being Colas 66847, Freightliner's 86613 with 86628, DBSchenker 92031, DRS 57008, 66304 and 66301 along with 37612/605 and 66423/57007 on flask duties. WCRC's 47854 and the more usual mix of class 66 traction from Freightliner and DBS with a Frightliner 70 thrown in for good measure.
