A somewhat unusual theme at Dollands Moor today.
One of two 66's for GBRF, 664025 namely 66750, arrived from Germany for GBRF, and 66701 was sent to pick it up. Unlike 66751 (29001) due later, 66750 carries Beacon Rail blue base livery, that of a German firm while it has Swedish branding for Rush Rail, however, it never worked for the firm or in Sweden in the end. The foreign 66's have many visual differences to the 66's we are used to. These however, once 66750 enters traffic, will be all but removed. So a less common photograph. The only loco to carry the current livery it's in too!
As usual, to keep up the theme of things from abroad, the former Spanish 37's, up for sale again, have been shunted in front of the cripple wagons (one or to being French) pending movement. Not as easy to photograph 37716 or 37714 this time though 37718 and 37703 weren't that bad. Finally to finish off the British built 92's.
So, in the United Kingdom in the yard traces of Germany, Sweden, Spain and France could be found.
The weather dull but on this occasion that was ideal.
The usual
