August in Crewe always seems to throw up something unusual. This visit was no exception.

Shunting on Crewe DMD saw 60007, still in full Loadhaul livery (one one side, EWS sticker the other) removed from DMD once more, for it's trip off to Toton for an overhaul. 56109/067/054 were also moved around DMD to access this class 60.

Also of note was a Network Rail test train with 31285 lading 97303 (37178) on a test train from Carlisle to Derby, along with a Freightiner convoy from Crewe Basford Hall to Crewe LNWR.
