The 'other four'; having moved more inland from the eight class 58's at the ADIF Monforte Del Cid base, to the ADIF Albacete base. This base is older than the Monforte example and was used for the construction of the Madrid - Albacete LAV line.

Stored here are the four examples that can be classed as stored/non operational.

These being 58041, 58025, 58027 and 58050.

Their number ranges are below;

58025 - L41 (though L number not applied since loosing GIF livery)
58027 - L52
58041 - L36 (also numbered as; 93.71.13.52.541-7)
58050 - L53

Sadly for these, the vandals have coated them in graffiti. While 58050 and 58027 are completely covered on both sides, they actually ran in traffic in such a state, while 58025 and 58041 managed to avoid the graffiti until some point in 2013.

58041 was, with 58043 one of the first examples to be stored however 58043 was reinstated to use around 2012 and 58041, at a guess, was used as a donor, both were stored inside but to get 58043 out 58041 had to get out of the way as did the others.

58025, 58027 and 58050 all remain under the UK DBSchenker with just 58041 at the base being under the Transfesa arm. 58050 is apparently NRM bound but who knows if it, or indeed the other DBS examples will ever return. This compound visibly did not seem as secure as the one at Monforte, though both bases are staffed in the week and see some use.

Also of note in Albacete, to add some Spanish flavour, was an ADIF 319 locomotive, not many carry the ADIF livery yet, while RENFE class 253 electric and 333 diesel were also photographed which also brought a sense of just how far the class 58's away from home.
