While locomotive positioning leaves a lot to be desired at this open event - in fact SNCB should take note from our DRS! A good selection of stuff on display, and indeed a few bits in the yard too! The yard I plan to tackle next time on a Mercia charter when the whole lot is open to photographers, just the works on the day we visited.

Never the less, some good stuff, from the freight side some class 51's in blue, due to head for Italy at some point, the class 62's and 63's, of not one 62 in the old SNCB livery. Class 57, 77, 78, the familiar 66, Prserved class 54 and 59. Then shunters from class 82 and 74, and mixed traffic locos 20, 23 and 26 rounded off with passenger locos class 12, 13, 18, 27, SNCB's class 28 feature.

A couple of 'novelty' photographs in here, but mainly good, you'll see what I mean by loco positioning, but never the less, the main attraction of a day of 'things that are different'

However one must conclude, while several loco classes in 'SNCB Land' are heritage and that little bit interesting. Points for design, style, noise and class, go to our very own UK locomotives! Including livery wise as well. SNCB do win the boobie prize for the most dull livery on electrics and indeed some seriously ugly locos bar a few of the older examples of 5x, 6x and 7x number ranges!

Long live British locomotives! :)
