Back into the Derbyshire hills, and just like Crewe, a day that had been at lot worse just became light cloud in the end, with sun in time for lunch. The main reason for the visit was to capture 37219 and 37175, now with Colas Railfreight, undergoing improvement modifications at the site. With 37421 to join in time. Some suitable parking of the Colas examples as well. DRS 37409 had arrived for it's 'D' exam, and DRS 'revised; 37423 having it's finished off before leaving the site. DRS's 37422 is numbered and ready to move for Derby/Crewe for final repairs and a repaint. 37714 awaits movement to Crewe as a super shunter, GBRF's 47815 and 47843 take a rest between duties. Europhoenix 37884 awaits its tow for Leicester for final modifications; stored DRS 20's and 37's, and finally a selection of the even older generation diesel locomotives on site as well. The photos of 37423 and 20314 were taken a little before the others. A blessing in disuse of accidentally visiting on a steam day with limited access which prompted another visit.
PLEASE NOTE: For photos of the Colas 37's a member of staff on site was asked if I could take photos of the locomotives who kindly lent assistance.
