The second of four convoys from Eastleigh Works to Carnforth via Crewe, for storeage. 37603 was used for the second move featuring three class 37 locomotives, these being 37261, 37605 and 37612.

37261 being the rarer example in th south, the other two examples did find frequent use in and around London on NR test trains.

Also photographed at Didcot are 08711 the RES shunter on site, and the ever common EWS 66's which are the more regular scene here.
