'Freightliner Class 66's Leave The United Kingdom For Poland' - In English, as it were. With more luck in me getting these three than anything else; here we see three Freightliner 66/5's off to work in Poland, weather they return to the UK is unknown but unlikely. They are 66527, 66530 and 66535; and all include new European numbers in white on the body sides (and 66527 also has one on the front) This is understood to be the first visit of Freightliner 66's to the DBSchenker yard ever - though it is feasible in 2001 during HS1 construction that an example or two may have visited. Still a rarity never the less. Of the examples being exported 66530 and 66535 I have many a time seen in Basford Hall visits and elsewhere; while 66527 in it's time in the UK managed to avoid me on a frequent basis. Until this visit I had only one photo of it - seriously wedged in a line of stabled locomotives also at Crewe - so it was nice to at least catch it twice. Just leaves on a personal note - 66953 to photograph more than once.

Also a mixture of DBSchenker class 92's were seen on this visit.
