A return to Alizay depot, France, and this time to a visibly more busy depot.

The more obvious 'guests' are the 58's which worked under ETF and TSO, which, after a year since these were last seen, still sit silently.

Signs of ECR's workhorses was evident this time around, two class 77 locomotives, 77003 and 77032 could be found (similar to a UK class 66) ECR 66033 could also be found on the depot, this example having not returned to the UK since mid 2011! Two more large scale ECR class G2000BB could be found stabled outside as well as a single G1000 locomotive. So by all means in terms of traction operated under ECR, a full house.

Also stored at Alizay is a small shunter, which look's itself to be a long gone British expat!

---------------------------------------------------

The class 58's though now with a little moss, and sadly, while it would seem only minor damage is caused, pikies have paid the class 58's a visit some time in the summer this year. Though not immediately obvious in all the photos.

Of note 58004/026/033/035 have the side grills and behind insulation 'removed' while the others had various bodyside doors open (since shut) and interestingly enough the same two or three bits taken. Inclines one to think whoever visited knew what they wanted, how to remove it and where in the 58 to find it.

Would this stop them running again, given how many were wrecks prior to reinstatement in the UK, chances are these could very well work again, and with HS2 shortly, it's anyone's guess, though, weather Alizay has the facilities for this and the time, is unlikely, so a trip through the tunnel 'home' to Eastleigh and Toton is the more realistic outlook should they run again under DBS for some contract, if they end up sold, who knows.
