A return to Anglia following 37425 receiving it's Regional Railways branding at DRS Crewe. Completing the 'heritage' passenger liveries carried by the 37/4's, namely Large Logo Blue was the first when ex-works and this is a guise most the DRS 37/4's currently carry, 37419 gained Intercity and rightly chosen it carried it when it was of a few of the fleet based between Eastfield and Motherwell in Scotland on such duties in the 1990's. Regional Railways workings were from the North Wales Coast to Crewe/Birmingham also in the 1990's the 37's based at Cardiff Canton and then Crewe. 37425 was one of those that was a former RR locomotive so is again rightly chosen.
It is nice to see an enthusiastic approach from a company towards a heritage fleet. A 'Blast From The Past' indeed.
The DRS 37's back in the area for network rail workings in the week and also over the weekend. Typically on weekends they move to Stowmarket in the early hours to stable, where they were first viewed, before moving onto Norwich for weekday stabling in the afternoon, and are seen there upon arrival.
Freightliner traction could be found stabled at Ipswich stabling point.
