The end is due for all locomotives seen during this visit, only 37415 and 37696 which can come out alive. Only way to lighten the mood is that all the locomotives (bar 47791) have photos of them in much happier days, on this website.

Inside were 37406, 37410, 37411, 37426, all former DRS locos joining 37683, 37087, 20306 and 47791 again all once DRS. 37415, 37696 and 37428 all former HNRC locomotives.

Very sad. While 37410/411/406/426 missed out on the 37/4 overhaul program, namely due to seriously damaged PU's. Other than that, were good locos compared to the first three 37416/417/427. However a destruction order on them finishes them off so to speak. 37416 looking worse than on my last visit (gone from externally intact to a bit of a mess) 37417, likewise and is now fully stripped in the cutting area, as for 37427 and 47829, no more. Next up after 37417 will be 37428. Also some former London Underground stop making it's last stop before cutting.

The former DRS 37/4's at the site are not required with 37401/402/405/419/422/425 either now in traffic or under overhaul for DRS. Six returning isn't bad all things considering. They join 37409/423 giving DRS eight 37/4's.

The donors to repair the six 37/4's; 37087/683 on site, and 20306 along with 47791, both surplus, better 47's and 37's available. HNRC's 37's being surplus to any requirements, though, no destruction order on them, and interest is made on 37415 and 37696 to both be saved, for 37415 another close call, if they come out again, thats another story...
