With the longest days in June the opportunity was taken for a overnighter in Carlisle. As always the variety did not disappoint. GBRF had 92028 - fresh out the works; with 92023 on test. 92032 also put in an appearance as did 86401; Several 66's from the company were sighted. A notable working is the nocturnal (usually) MOD from Longtown with and equally elusive (for me) 66740 - Found Sarah!
Freightliner 90's can be found working in pairs up the WCML now so these brought some colour into that scene with DBC already operating a service with a pair of 90's; DRS traction wise a lot of nuclear flask running with 68's, no less than three 37's making an appearance being 37218, 37424 and 37425. A highlight was also this was the first week the DRS 88's were let loose on the TESCO - to which 88003 and 88004 can be found working.
Colas Railfreight 60002 and 60026 could be found in use and one of DBC's more recently repainted 66's, 66066 also made an appearance.
